LÖBNER
In 2023, LÖBNER launched as a modern German luxury watch brand exclusively at BUCHERER, inspired by an extraordinary heritage of historic world records and mobile short-time measurement in motorsports, horse-races, olympics and other sports. LÖBNER watches are developed to the highest German quality standards. The product families include the Steelracer chronographs as well as the new three-hand watch named Sledge. Steelracer
The Steelracer collection takes its inspiration from the celebrated racing cars of the 1920s and 30s. LÖBNER was the privileged timekeeper for a plethora of world records – some of which would be held for decades. The Steelracer series is an homage to both the technological pioneering spirit of the time and to the men and women who, in the early stages of motorsport, were determined to push the boundaries of what was possible. In contrast to classic chronographs and thanks to the LÖBNER-developed complication, LÖBNER timepieces show the time on a decentralised display with a small-seconds subdial. The central chronograph second hand allows speeds of between 60 and 600 kilometres per hour to be measured on the engraved tachymeter bezel. The winding crown of the watches – with water resistance of up to 10 bar – is located underneath a patented “Sledge” crown guard. This slider prevents the time from being adjusted accidentally and protects the crown from mechanical strain.

Sledge
Only a year after its launch, the German luxury watch brand LÖBNER presents its second wristwatch. As with all LÖBNER models, the patented crown protection slider serves as a distinctive hallmark in the new LÖBNER Sledge Automatic. It also gives LÖBNER’s first three-hand watch its name: Sledge. Another unique mechanism reflects the brand’s uniquely sporty DNA and its legacy as a pioneer in short-time measurement: mobile short-time measurement via an internal rotating minute scale. The Sledge Automatic captures time intervals of up to 60 minutes, with the inner minute track adjustable via the fluted rotating bezel – without operating the crown. The watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters.
Löbner Heritage
Founded in 1862 by Franz Ludwig Löbner in Berlin, the company developed pioneering innovations for mobile timekeeping. As early as the end of the 19th century, LÖBNER was able to stop 1/100th and 1/1000th of a second. With its time recorders, stopwatches and large clocks, LÖBNER was represented at the most important horse racing tracks in Europe at the beginning of the 20th century and was timekeeper at several Olympic Games. Numerous competitions and world records in motor sports were recorded by LÖBNER stopwatches and time recording instruments.
