BUCHERER FINE JEWELLERY
In the Archive
Since its foundation in 1888, Bucherer has been captivated by the brilliance of rare diamonds and the vibrancy of precious gemstones. This fascination, paired with the exceptional craftsmanship of our Lucerne atelier, made Bucherer Fine Jewellery one of the world’s leading jewellers. In the Archive explores our rich heritage, uncovering the artistry, innovation, and changing trends that have shaped our collections over the decades.
A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Swiss Heritage
At the heart of our history lies an enterprising spirit. In the 1920s, Louise Bucherer, wife of founder Carl Friedrich Bucherer, developed a keen interest in precious gemstones. Together with her daughter-in-law, Wilhelmina, she laid the foundation for Bucherer Fine Jewellery, ensuring that the pursuit of exceptional stones became an integral part of the brand’s identity. Her forward-thinking approach saw her travel the world searching for the finest gems. She established relationships with renowned gemstone traders and returned with rare finds to our Lucerne atelier, where they were transformed into exquisite masterpieces.

Fine Jewellery Through the Ages
Our archives reveal the evolution of fine jewellery, from the geometric elegance of Art Deco in the 1920s to the floral-inspired designs of the 1950s and the bold, sculptural pieces of the 1970s. Over the decades, our collections have continued to evolve, always balancing contemporary innovation with a deep respect for tradition.

A Vision for Colour
Bucherer Fine Jewellery was among the first to highlight fancy-coloured diamonds and champion vivid gemstones in distinctive settings. From statement cocktail rings to the refined minimalism of today’s Pastello Collection, each piece reflects our enduring commitment to exceptional design.
